Vince Churchill

answers the Usual Questions

An avid horror/thriller/action film fan, author Vince Churchill has published novels, short stories and novellas.

Has your interaction with fans, for example, at conventions, affected your work?

Nope - other than to keep trusting my instincts when it comes to the ideas that blossom into novels.

Is there any particular incident (a letter, a meeting, a comment that stands out?

I have an email I swear is from a serial killer, but local authorities didn't think much of it.

Do you have a favourite author or book (or writer or film or series) that has influenced you or that you return to?

I have too many favorites to name, really. Even though I'm a novelist, I lean heavily on films and television from the 1970's.

Who is the person you would most like to be trapped in a lift with? or a spaceship?

Alfred Hitchcock.

Who is the person you would most DISlike to be trapped in a lift with? Or a spaceship?

That list is too long to whittle down.

What would you pack for space? (Is there a food, beverage, book, teddy bear, etc that you couldn't do without?)

Snicker Bars & The Bible (just in case)

What is the most important thing you would like to get/achieve from your work?

The satisfaction that my books entertain. That's that most important thing. Well, that and a little spending $$$.

What is the special satisfaction of your work?

That I'm good with the notion that if each book I write turns out to be the last one, I'm happy with my final effort.
