Sahara (2005) movie review

What is the connection between a United States civil war vessel and an African civil war?

Sahara is one of those adventure/treasure hunter movies that asks the audience to suspend disbelief so far that it may never come back.

This movie is based on the Dirk Pitt adventure series of Clive Cussler and has the misfortune to have four scriptwriters (never good for making a cohesive script).

Dirk Pitt. Adventure has a new name.

The performers try to make a go of it, but this film never rises above it's script. It has lots of travelling and action and posturing, but it's strictly for those who like watching people run about and blow things up.
