Rug Rats movie review

Rug Rats

A new baby brother arrives for Tommy. The Rugrats decide to try to return it to the hospital in the fire-breathing, nosie-making Reptar Wagon.

This movie is for kids of all ages. I took my sons Justin (41/2) and Marcus (5 1/2) to their first ever big screen adventure, and they loved it. they weren't the only ones -- virtually everyone in the theatre was laughing at one scene or another.

This movie caters to all age groups, with subtle humour for the adult, and blatant laughs for the kids.

Rug Rats is a television series shown as two separate episodes, each 15 minutes long. I was a bit wary about how a 15 minute sketch on TV would transfer to the big screen and keep you entertained for about 1 1/2 hours, never mid the hyperactive 4 1/2 year old I'd have sitting next to me. But the film makers did it.

I have never seen Justin sit still and quiet (except for when he laughed) for so long. He wants to go see it again.

Rug Rats the movie is about the arrival of Dylan Pickles, Tommy's brother, and the impact he has on the relationship between Tommy and his friends. They get lost and have the "Greatest Adventure" ever.

There are plenty of laughs and tears (Marcus cried).

It is a must see film catering to both children and parents.
