Almost Heroes movie review

Almost Heroes

The first-time script from a trio of primarily television writers (Mark Nutter, Tom Wolfe and Boyd Hale, who had all written for the hit show Nurses, among other projects). Directed by Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman), who says, "I responded to the intelligence and humor of the script, plus the fact that it was a period comedy. There just aren't that many movies made anymore with people in costumes filmed in different locations that also feature bears and conquistadors. Also, I took the script as both an actor and a director. I would have played any number of parts in this film, but I wanted to direct."

Due for Australian release (not known)
